ECW Rating: The Decline Continues

by Al M. on 13th August 2008

ECW on Sci-Fi scored a 1.2 rating on Tuesday night, which is down from the 1.5
rating the show drew last week. This week’s broadcast drew 1,655,000 viewers.

Al’s Vault:
Raw also has had a decline in ratings, many say it is the Olympics, one could only hope its not
a result of the Post-Adalme Era. Or it may just be that with out Stephine McMhaon in the
picture(pertinity leave) the writers have become stale. Because this weeks Raw was one of the
worst build-ups to Summer Slam in history. Adalme surpsinly did okay this week, but Raw was doing
just find with out a GM, ratings were going up and it was the first time in a long time that I
personally couldnt wait to see Raw each week. I have said it once and I will say it again GM’s
water down the show! Without a GM fueds seem to be more belivable becuse it has not been
force by some type of ‘BOSS’ putting two guys in a match, out of no where. A great example
of this is the Batista vs. Cena match, it was forced by Adalme. When we had DX vs. The Hart
Foundation it was a natural fued. Look at Y2J vs. HBK it hasnt been forced, and look how
meaniful this fued is. It makes it more belivable without a GM/Boss, thats my take.
Whats yours?
