Pride 34, held on the 8th of April 2007, was Pride FC’s swansong event before being purchased outright and integrated into the UFC.

In keeping with this change, the headline bout was built as Pride Vs. UFC battle between Jeff Monson and Kazuyuki Fugita. With the hopes of the home town on his shoulders could Fugita strike a final defiant blow for the Japanese organization before it’s takeover by the Americans?

Also on the card is the exciting Cameroonian Rameau Sokoudjou. After a big win over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, will he be able to overcome the equally as dangerous and difficult Ricardo Arona?

This was my first time ever watching a full Pride show and I was not let down. Great start to this event with all fighters standing together on the entrance ramp being announced (I’m not sure if this happens at every Pride show but I think it worked very well). The crowed was hot for this one and the fighters but on one hell of a show with non stop action in every fight. Kicks, punches, submissions, KO’s, Tap outs and TKO’s this event had them all. Top fights from start to finish. It was also great to see Don Frye in action as he took on English Man James Thompson in a stand up war! Another guy I have not seen in years is Butterbean who took on Zuluzinho which I thought was a fun but good match. If you are a fan of Pride then this DVD won’t let you down, If you are like me and have not seen much Pride then pick this up today and I hope it blows you away like it did to me. This DVD gets a big two thumbs up from me as I like my MMA fast and packed with action and that is what you get with Pride 34 ‘KAMIKAZE’
