SD Fusion: World’s Toughest Vegan

by Firefly on 24th October 2012

The 19th October 2012 episode of Friday Night SmackDown! starts with The Miz hosting “Miz TV”, but introduced as the former Intercontinental Championship. The Miz says that on Wednesday at Main Event, luck struck Kofi Kingston, and the last forty-eight hours has been a living hell.

He tells Kofi Kingston to saviour his title reign, as he says that it will be very short, as he is officially invoking his rematch clause to face Kingston for the Intercontinental Championship at Hell In A Cell.

The Miz says that he will defeat Kingston to regain the title, and it will make Kingston’s life a living hell. Speaking of hell however, he introduces his guests for this episode of Miz TV, “Team Hell No” Kane and Daniel Bryan.

The Miz calls both men egomaniacs, saying that if they were a true tag team, they would have come out together instead of separately. Daniel Bryan’s response is to suggest that he separate his teeth from his mouth, but The Miz ignores this and talks about how he was Bryan’s Pro on NXT, and suggests that Bryan is the problem in the team.

He says that he thinks that in “Team Hell No”’s match at Hell In A Cell against the winners of the Tag Team Tournament, Bryan will be the one who causes them to lose. Kane interjects to say that nobody cares what The Miz thinks.

Kane says that he has won Tag Team Championships with angry seven-foot giants, deranged psychopaths, and even the Deadman, but if Bryan is the problem, then Kane is the solution. Bryan denies that he is the problem, and instead says that he is the reason that they will win at Hell In A Cell.

Bryan says that the “Devil’s Favourite Demon” is nothing without the “World’s Toughest Vegan”, to which Kane says is like being the “World’s Tallest Dwarf”. When The Miz asks if he can say something, both men tell him no, and go back to their argument, with Bryan denying that he is a dwarf and has a goat-face.

He says that he is a former World Heavyweight Champion, and he won the title by cashing it in against a giant and ending his title reign in forty-five seconds. In addition, Bryan says that he is the Tag Team Champions, causing an argument to erupt further between the two, as Kane claims himself as singularly the Tag Team Champions.

The Big Show’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring, where he says that he doesn’t have a problem with Kane, but that the problem he does have is with Daniel Bryan. He says that he thought that Bryan would learn to keep his mouth shut after the beating he gave him on Raw, as he says that Bryan knows that him beating him in forty-five seconds was the biggest fluke in history.

He says that after he defeats Sheamus at Hell In A Cell, nothing like that will ever happen to him again. Show says that if he hears Bryan open his mouth one more time about “forty-five seconds”, he’s going to knock him out.

Show reconsiders and suggests that he perhaps just knock Bryan out right now, but Bryan backs away to hide behind Kane. Kane says that they may be scheduled for a match on Monday Night Raw, but he suggests that they don’t have to wait.

Before Show can respond to this however, Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring with Vickie Guerrero. Dolph Ziggler says that Bryan cashing in Money In The Bank against The Big Show is so last year, as the only thing that matters is the current Money In The Bank holder, himself.

He says that at Hell In A Cell, Sheamus and The Big Show are going to beat the hell out of each other, and then he is going to do what he does better than anybody else – steal the show and become the World Heavyweight Champion.

Ziggler says that it doesn’t matter if he cashes in the contract against Sheamus or The Big Show, because if Bryan can do it to Show, it can’t be that hard. The men in the ring erupt into an argument, which is promptly interrupted by Booker T’s music hitting and him making his way out onto the stage.

Booker T tells the men in the ring to chill out, but he is interrupted by The Miz telling him to save it, suggesting that he will do something predictable like make a tag team match between Team Hell No and a team of The Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, and The Miz.

Booker T denies that he was going to say that, as he says that he will make two main-event calibre matches to take place later on. The first he says will be Team Hell No facing Dolph Ziggler and The Big Show, but when prompted by The Miz as to what the second match will be, Booker T introduces The Miz’s opponent for right now, which after a few moments is revealed to be Randy Orton.

Alberto Del Rio is interviewed by Matt Striker up in the balcony as he watches the match, but the match sees Orton get the victory, when he hits The Miz with an RKO for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Sheamus and Teddy Long, which sees Eve Torres appear afterwards apparently having been listening from afar, “Team Rhodes Scholars” Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow take on Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd in a Tag Team match which sees Rhodes get the victory for his team, when hits Kidd with the Disaster Kick for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Booker T, Eve Torres, and Teddy Long, “Team Hell No” Daniel Bryan and Kane are pitted against The Big Show and Dolph Ziggler in a Tag Team match which sees Bryan get the victory for his team, when he puts Ziggler in the No Lock and forces him to tap out.

Afterwards, both men celebrate and their celebration continues up on the ramp, but it is at this point which “Team Rhodes Scholars” attack them from behind, sending a message as they clearly believe that they will be the winners of the Tag Team Tournament and will face “Team Hell No” at Hell In A Cell.

After a video recapping the events involving Sheamus, Wade Barrett, and The Big Show on Monday Night Raw (click here for our Raw report), and a video of Antonio Cesaro outside Sun Studio earlier in the day, Antonio Cesaro goes against Ted DiBiase in a match which sees Cesaro get the victory, when he hits DiBiase with the Neutralizer for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events of Raw involving Vince McMahon, CM Punk (with Paul Heyman), John Cena, and Ryback, and a video recapping “3MB”’s attack on Santino Marella and Zack Ryder on Raw, “3MB” (3 Man Band) consisting of Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, and Drew McIntyre introduce themselves and suggest watching Slater defeat Brodus Clay.

Heath Slater takes on “Funkasaurus” Brodus Clay (accompanied by Cameron and Naomi) in a match which sees Slater get the victory, when he takes advantage of the distraction provided by Mahal and McIntyre, and hits Clay with the snapmare-facebuster for the 3-count.

After Matt Striker interviews Wade Barrett about their match later on in this episode, Eve Torres joins commentary as Natalya is pitted against Layla in a match which sees Layla get the victory, when she hits Natalya with a roundhouse kick to the head for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Teddy Long, Kaitlyn, and some apparent information on Eve’s iPad, Sheamus goes against Wade Barrett in a Lumberjack match which sees Sheamus get the victory, when he hits Barrett with the Brogue Kick for the 3-count.

Afterwards, Dolph Ziggler attacks Sheamus from behind and looks like he’s going to cash in his Money In The Bank contract, only to turn around and be hit with the K.O Punch by The Big Show, who then leaves up the ramp.

The Big Show tells Sheamus to wake up and look over at Dolph Ziggler, telling him that will be his fate at Hell In A Cell too when Show takes Sheamus’ title, as SmackDown! goes off the air.
