The 2012 WWE Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the World Heavyweight Championship and WWE Championship matches to take place later on, followed by Alberto Del Rio taking on Randy Orton to kick things off.

The match sees Orton get the victory, when he avoids Del Rio’s enzuigiri attempt in the corner, and catches him with an RKO on his way down for the 3-count.

After recapping John Cena and Vickie Guerrero’s comments towards each other during the past week on Twitter, a video recapping the events of the Pre-Show involving John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, and Vickie Guerrero, and Josh Mathews interviewing Vickie Guerrero backstage, an interaction involving Vickie and Paul Heyman sees Vickie refuse to cancel CM Punk’s Hell In A Cell match against Ryback, despite Heyman’s protestations.

After a video recapping the final of the Number One Contender Tag Team Tournament on Monday Night Raw (click here for our Raw report), “Team Hell No” Kane and Daniel Bryan are pitted against “Team Rhodes Scholars” Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Before the match takes place, Sandow and Rhodes say that by the end of the night, they will be able to say “We are the Tag Team Champions!”, but although the match sees Team Rhodes Scholars get the victory, it is as a result of a disqualification and thus they don’t win the titles, due to Kane attacking both men and ignoring the referee’s calls to back off, resulting in the referee calling for the bell.

After Josh Mathews interviews The Miz about his upcoming match, and a video recapping the match between Kofi Kingston and The Miz two weeks ago on Main Event, The Miz goes against Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Championship in a match which sees Kingston get the victory and retain his title, when he hits The Miz with Trouble In Paradise for the 3-count.

Afterwards, Matt Striker interviews Kingston about his first successful title defense, where he thanks The Miz for forcing out a side of him that the fans haven’t seen in a long time, and he says that he feel energised and proud to be the Intercontinental Champion.

After a video hyping the 10th November release of tickets for WrestleMania 29, an interaction backstage involving Kane and Daniel Bryan, and a video recapping Antonio Cesaro’s match with Justin Gabriel on Raw, Antonio Cesaro takes on Justin Gabriel for the United States Championship in a match which sees Cesaro get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Gabriel with the Neutralizer for the 3-count.

After a video hyping Ryback, and an interaction backstage involving Vickie Guerrero and Paul Heyman, in which Vickie reiterates that the match is still on, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara are pitted against “Prime Time Players” Darren Young and Titus O’Neil in a Tag Team match which sees Mysterio get the victory for his team, when he hits Young with a 619 and follows it up with a diving splash for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Sheamus goes against The Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship in a match which sees Show get the victory and become the new World Heavyweight Champion, when he avoids Sheamus’ Brogue Kick attempt and hits Sheamus with the K.O Punch for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Booker T, Eve Torres, Teddy Long, Zack Ryder, Santino Marella, and Ron Simmons, an interaction elsewhere backstage involving CM Punk and Vince McMahon, and a video recapping the events involving Eve Torres, Kaitlyn, and Layla on Raw, Eve Torres, Layla, and Kaitlyn take on each other in a Triple Threat match for the Divas Championship, which sees Eve get the victory and retain her title when she interrupts Kaitlyn’s pin of Layla with a senton bomb, and pins Layla for the 3-count.

After Josh Mathews interviews The Big Show about being the new World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Striker informs us that we’ll be kept updated on Sheamus’ condition as Sheamus’ is tended to in the background, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, CM Punk is pitted against Ryback for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Hell In A Cell match.

The match sees Punk get the victory and retain his title, when Ryback’s attempt to hit Punk with a Shell Shock is interrupted by the referee hitting him with a low blow, which Punk takes advantage of by rolling up Ryback for a quick 3-count.

Afterwards, Punk and the referee quickly call for the cell door to be opened, but the referee on the outside apparently drops the key, as it is not opened as speedily as they would like, resulting in Ryback recovering and taking out his anger over what has just happened on the referee and Punk.

After Ryback throws the referee into the cell wall, he quickly goes after CM Punk now that the door is finally open. His attempt to whip Punk into the cell wall fails however, as Punk starts scaling it, prompting Ryback to follow him to the top.

Ryback hits Punk with a Shell Shock on the top of the cell, and he stands tall over the downed Punk as Hell In A Cell goes off the air.
