Raw Fusion: Premières & Patriots

by Firefly on 28th February 2013

The 25th February 2013 episode of Monday Night Raw starts with a video recapping recent events involving Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman, as well as recent events involving CM Punk and John Cena, and hyping the events to come in this episode.

Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring to kick off the show, where he says that he can’t think of a better way to start off an episode of Raw with a “fight”, as he then introduces Paul Heyman, who makes his way to the ring talking about how we are about to see a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.

Heyman makes a cheap shot by pushing McMahon over and then attacking him with his own crutches, until McMahon is able to block him and turn the tables. McMahon’s retribution is halted however, by Brock Lesnar’s music hitting and him making his way to the ring.

As Lesnar stalks his way across the ring towards McMahon, his focus switches and allows McMahon to leave when Triple H’s music hits to interrupt the proceedings. Triple H makes his way towards the ring, where he and Lesnar quickly meet and start battling.

The battle sees Lesnar bleeding after being opened up by his head bouncing off the ring posts, and retreating from the ring and up the ramp after beating hit with a steel chair by Triple H in the ring.

Next up, Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by AJ Lee and Big E Langston) takes on Ryback in a match which sees Langston and AJ interfere, only for their interference to fail and Ryback still get the victory after hitting Ziggler with the Shell-Shock for the 3-count.

After a video trailer hyping the upcoming movie release of “The Call” starring David Otunga and Halle Berry, and a video recapping the events of last week involving CM Punk and John Cena, CM Punk makes his way to the ring and talks about how the world will witness history on this episode.

CM Punk says that a story has been told which has been leading up to this moment, but although people would have us believe that it is an epic match between John Cena and CM Punk, Punk says that it is not about John Cena, The Rock, WrestleMania or even the WWE Championship, it is about the future and himself.

He talks about his accomplishments and claims to be an immortal icon who is the greatest of all time, and he says that in this world, he is God.

After a video announcing Donald Trump as the celebrity inductee of the 2013 WWE Hall Of Fame class, Mark Henry is pitted against The Great Khali in a match which sees Henry get the victory, when he hits Khali with a World’s Strongest Slam for the 3-count.

After a video hyping the imminent movie release of “The Marine 3: Homefront” starring The Miz on DVD and Blu-Ray, and a video hyping the début of Fandango on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, The Miz presents “Miz TV” with his guests Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, Ricardo Rodriguez, and World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.

Colter talks about being “Real Americans” and complain about illegal immigrants and what they claim that Del Rio represents, until Del Rio says that it is time for them to shut up and talks about how America doesn’t belong to Colter or Del Rio, but rather everyone, and that he is no different from anybody else.

Del Rio says that he is living proof that anything is possible in America if people are willing to put in the hard work, but if Colter and Swagger think that they are going to bully people and hide behind the constitution, they should do something right now if they have the “cojones” as he doesn’t like bullies.

Jack Swagger’s response is instead to tell Alberto Del Rio that he will see him at WrestleMania, as he and Zeb Colter then exit the ring and start to leave.

After a video recapping a surprise attack on The Miz during the break by Jack Swagger, helped by a distraction from Zeb Colter, Antonio Cesaro goes against Randy Orton in a match which sees Orton get the victory, when he counters Cesaro’s dive from the turnbuckle by catching him with an RKO for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Kane, Daniel Bryan, Vickie Guerrero, and Brad Maddox, and a video of the WrestleMania 21 spoof of “A Few Good Men” with John Cena and JBL, Sheamus makes his way to the ring and talks about watching the Academy Awards and how they missed out Wade Barrett.

After rolling a movie trailer of “Dead Man Down” starring Wade Barrett, Sheamus mocks Barrett about saying and doing nothing during the whole movie, until Wade Barrett’s music hits and he makes his way out to the ring.

Wade Barrett claims that Sheamus is jealous of him and the fact that he is about to become a “huge global movie star”, but that when he attends the World Première of “Dead Man Down”, Sheamus will be returning his Tux and heading to the bar.

Sheamus agrees on the point of returning his Tux and heading to the bar, but he advises Barrett to be careful at the Première that the paparazzi get his good side, but quips that he’s not sure that he has one judging from that nose of his.

Barrett attempts to attack Sheamus, but he ducks it and gets ready to hit a Brogue Kick, only for Barrett to bail out to avoid it.

After a video recapping the events last week involving R-Truth and Damien Sandow, Damien Sandow joins commentary as R-Truth takes on Cody Rhodes in a match which sees Truth get the victory, when he hits Rhodes with a jumping reverse STO from the 3-count.

Afterwards, Sandow attempts to attack Truth, only for Truth to get some shots in first as he saw him coming, causing Sandow to bail out of the ring.

After showing a YouTube video starring Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger, “Team Hell No” Kane and Daniel Bryan are pitted against “Prime Time Players” Titus O’Neil and Darren Young in a Tag Team match with the added stipulations of Bryan being blindfolded and Kane having one hand tied behind his back.

The match sees Kane get the victory for his team, when he hits Young with a chokeslam for the 3-count.

After a video hyping WWEShop.com, “The Shield” Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins make their way to the ring. They talk about how things will get worse and that there will be no peace in the WWE until there is justice and honour.

They say that nobody can stop them from doing the job that they came to do, as they will win every single time despite any opponents assembled before them, but when asked if there is anyone else who wants to face them, Sheamus’ music hits and he makes his way out to the stage.

Sheamus suggests that if The Shield want to fight, then they should head up to the stage to fight him, but as Ambrose and Reigns exit the ring and start to do just that, Randy Orton hits the ring and takes out Rollins with an RKO before exiting again into the crowd.

Now, Jack Swagger (accompanied by Zeb Colter) goes against The Miz in a match which sees Swagger get the victory, when he applies the Patriot Lock to The Miz, forcing him to tap out.

After a video recapping The Rock unveiling the new WWE Championship belt and the aftermath involving CM Punk and John Cena, Josh Mathews interviewing John Cena about his upcoming match with CM Punk, a video hyping “Robot Combat League” hosted by Chris Jericho, and a Tout video of The Undertaker returning at a house show, CM Punk takes on John Cena to determine The Rock’s opponent at WrestleMania 29.

The match sees Cena get the victory, when he hits Punk with an Attitude Adjustment for the 3-count. Afterwards, a tweet from The Rock is shown congratulating Cena, and John Cena celebrates on the stage as Raw goes off the air.
