The WWE WrestleMania XXIX (29) Pay-Per-View starts with a video of the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy, and how people banded together to rebuild things again, and we are then welcomed to WrestleMania.

The first match to kick off the show sees Sheamus, Randy Orton, and The Big Show take on “The Shield” Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins in a Six-Man Tag Team match which sees Ambrose get the victory for his team, when Reigns hits Orton with a spear and Ambrose covers Orton for the 3-count.

Afterwards, The Big Show appears to be unhappy as he looked to be about to be tagged into the match by Sheamus, until Orton tagged himself in instead. After yelling at Orton, Show turns and takes out Sheamus with a K.O Punch, followed by a K.O Punch to Orton, before exiting the ring and leaving.

After a video recapping the events involving Ryback and Mark Henry two weeks ago on SmackDown, Mark Henry is pitted against Ryback in a match which sees Henry get the victory, when he counters Ryback’s Shell-Shock attempt by grabbing onto the ropes, and then falling on top of him, where he rolls him over for the 3-count.

Afterwards, he exits the ring but appears to change his mind after seeing trainers and the referee tending to the downed Ryback. Henry re-enters the ring and orders the others back out of it, but the time was enough for Ryback to recover, as he hits Henry with a spinebuster and follows it up with a Shell-Shock.

After a video announcing the WWE’s partnership with the 2014 Special Olympics, appearances on the stage by some of the members and athletes, as well as Stephanie McMahon and the New Jersey Governor, and a video recapping the events involving Kane, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, and Big E Langston on Monday Night Raw (click here for our Raw report), Big E Langston and Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by AJ Lee) go against “Team Hell No” Kane and Daniel Bryan in a match for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

The match sees Bryan get the victory and retain the titles for his team, when Kane hits Ziggler with a chokeslam and then tags Bryan in, who hits Ziggler with a diving headbutt for the 3-count.

After a video recapping Chris Jericho’s mocking of Fandango by getting his name wrong, and a video recapping the events involving Chris Jericho and Fandango on Raw, a group of female dancers do a routine on the stage that parts to reveal Fandango and his dance partner, before Fandango takes on Chris Jericho.

The match sees Fandango get the victory, when he takes advantage of Jericho apparently having tweaked his knee, and counters Jericho’s attempt at the Walls Of Jericho into a small package for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the Pre-Show match between The Miz and Wade Barrett, which saw The Miz become the new Intercontinental Champion by making Barrett tap out to the Figure-Four Leg Lock, musical performances by Sean “Diddy” Combs and Skylar Grey, and a video recapping the events involving Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio that led to the upcoming match, Jack Swagger (accompanied by Zeb Colter) is pitted against Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The match sees Del Rio get the victory and retain his title, when he applies the cross-armbreaker to Swagger, forcing him to tap out.

After a video recapping the events involving The Undertaker and CM Punk that led to the upcoming match, CM Punk (accompanied by Paul Heyman, and played to the ring with a live performance of “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour) is pitted against The Undertaker in a match which sees The Undertaker get the victory, when he counters Punk’s GTS attempt and hits him with a Tombstone Piledriver for the 3-count.

Afterwards, The Undertaker places the urn in the ring and bows to it as the lighting goes blue and fireworks are set off around the stadium.

After a video recapping the events involving Triple H and Brock Lesnar that led to the upcoming match, Shawn Michaels makes his way out to ringside to watch from Triple H’s corner as Brock Lesnar (accompanied by Paul Heyman) goes against Triple H in a match which means that Triple H’s career is over if he loses.

The match sees Triple H get the victory, when he hits Lesnar with a Pedigree on some steel ring steps for the 3-count.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, Extreme Rules on 19th May, a video hyping the upcoming “Pain & Gain” movie starring The Rock, and a video recapping the 2013 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony, WWE Hall Of Famer Howard Finkel introduces the 2013 WWE Hall Of Fame Class on the stage.

The match sees Cena get the victory and become the new WWE Champion, when he counters The Rock’s attempt at a Rock Bottom into an Attitude Adjustment for the 3-count.

Afterwards, The Rock and John Cena shake hands and show respect to each other, both in-ring and on the stage, while fireworks go off around the stadium as WrestleMania goes off the air.
