TNA Joins Line-Up Of Subscription Channels On YouTube
YouTube has recently begun a trial of subscription channels, with TNA Wrestling being behind one of the intial line up of channels with TNA Wrestling PLUS.
TNA Wrestling PLUS will offer a 14-day free trial, something which it has in common with other paid channels on the platform as it is said to be a per-channel trial rather than overall, after which it can be accessed via a monthly subscription.
Whether the subscription price will be worth it is of course a matter of individual opinion, but the trial will be rolled out over the coming weeks, and it does give TNA an additional revenue source as well as spread their name out further.
There are a number of videos from the TNA library that are being offered on the TNA Wrestling PLUS channel for free too, including (but not limited to) Pay-Per-Views such as Turning Point 2004, Genesis 2005 (which saw Christian’s TNA début as Christian Cage), Genesis 2006, Destination X 2007, plus wrestler documentaries such as King Of The Mountain: Jeff Jarrett, Knocked Out: The Ladies of TNA Wrestling, and more.
While surprising that WWE doesn’t appear to be a part of the trial, I would fully expect it to only be a matter of time before WWE signs up to offer a paid channel too, despite already offering their content via subscriptions on WWE.com and Hulu.
See YouTube.com/TNAWrestlingPLUS for more details on the TNA Wrestling PLUS channel, and YouTube.com/channels/paid_channels to see what other subscription channels are also available.
