PPV Fusion: SummerSlam 2014

The 2014 WWE SummerSlam Pay-Per-View starts with Justin Roberts introducing Hulk Hogan, with Hogan subsequently hyping the WWE Network and its price before the video package hyping the matches to come.

The Miz takes on Dolph Ziggler in a match for the Intercontinental Championship to kick things off, which sees Dolph Ziggler get the victory when he avoids a big boot attempt from The Miz and hits him with the Zig-Zag for the 3-count to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

After a video recapping the events of Monday Night Raw involving Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon, Brie being interviewed backstage about her upcoming match, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match between AJ Lee and Paige, Paige is pitted against AJ Lee for the Divas Championship.

The match sees Paige get the victory, when she counters AJ’s Black Widow into the Ram-Paige for the 3-count to become the new Divas Champion on her 22nd birthday.

After a video hyping two generations of Sting as a pre-order exclusive for WWE 2K15, Rusev (accompanied by Lana) goes against Jack Swagger (accompanied by Zeb Colter) in a Flag match which sees a battle erupt between Swagger and Rusev before the match can even officially get started.

Unfortunately for Rusev however, Swagger gets the upper-hand and once separated by the referee, he is left attempting to weasel his way out of having the match due to the damage done to his ankle, but his attempts are to no avail as the referee rings the bell anyway.

The match sees Rusev get the victory when the referee calls for the bell, after Swagger appears to have passed out while Rusev has applied The Accolade to him. Afterwards, Rusev takes out Colter with a kick when he checks on Swagger, and both Rusev and Lana celebrate with the Russian National Anthem being played as the Russian flag is raised behind them.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Seth Rollins takes on Dean Ambrose in a Lumberjack match which sees Rollins get the victory, when he takes advantage of the confusion and distraction caused by the Lumberjacks and Kane, and hits Ambrose with his Money In The Bank briefcase before covering him for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Bray Wyatt is pitted against Chris Jericho in a match which sees Wyatt get the victory, when he hits Jericho with Sister Abigail for the 3-count. Afterwards, Wyatt celebrates by singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands”.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Stephanie McMahon goes against Brie Bella in a match which sees Triple H interfere by pulling the referee out of the ring and face-first onto the floor, with further interference of Nikki Bella attacking her sister allowing Stephanie McMahon to follow it up with a Pedigree for the 3-count and victory.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Randy Orton takes on Roman Reigns in a match which sees Reigns get the victory, when he avoids Orton’s attempt at hitting him with the Punt and ends up hitting him with a spear for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Brock Lesnar (accompanied by Paul Heyman) is pitted against John Cena in a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship which sees Lesnar get the victory, when he hits Cena with an F-5 for the 3-count to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Lesnar and Heyman start walking back through the entrance, as the PPV goes off the air.
