Vince McMahon Apologises to UK Fans for WWE Network Delay

by Firefly on 5th November 2014

WWE have posted a video on WWE.com of Vince McMahon personally apologising on behalf of the WWE for the delay in launching the WWE Network to fans in the UK.

Although no date is given for when it will be resolved, or reasons why the delay happened, in the video he assures fans that staff are working day and night to get a launch ready as soon as possible.

What may ring alarm bells for fans however is the phrase “potential partnerships” being mentioned, as reasons for the original delay have been speculated to be a potential deal with BSkyB (known more commonly in the UK as simply “Sky”) to mirror the one that WWE has in Canada with Rogers Communications, resulting in the WWE Network only being available as a premium channel, speculation which is sure to be reignited as a result.
