by Firefly on 15th December 2014

The 2014 WWE TLC Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place during the event, followed by Dolph Ziggler taking on Luke Harper in a Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship to kick things off.

The match sees Ziggler get the victory, when he hits Harper with a kick to the back of the head that sends Harper’s head bouncing off the ladder and Harper crashing down to the floor, as Ziggler grabs the title from where it is hanging to become the new Intercontinental Champion.

After a video hyping the upcoming broadcast of this year’s Tribute to The Troops and a video recapping the earlier backstage interaction involving The Miz and Naomi, “The Usos” Jimmy and Jey Uso are pitted against The Miz and Damien Mizdow in a Tag Team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The match sees The Usos get the victory but The Miz and Mizdow retain their titles, when The Miz hits The Usos with the Slammy Award, causing the referee to call for a disqualification.

After Byron Saxton interviews Seth Rollins about his upcoming match with John Cena, The Big Show goes against Erick Rowan in a Steel Stairs match which sees Show get the victory, when he hits Rowan with a punch to the back of the head and uses the stairs to aid his pin for the 3-count.

After a video hyping the return of Total Divas in January, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Paul Heyman makes his way to ringside to watch as John Cena takes on Seth Rollins in a Tables match that has the stipulation that if Cena loses, a new Number One Contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be named, but that it would not be Seth Rollins.

John Cena puts Rollins through a table with an Attitude Adjustment during the time the referee is knocked out, allowing Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury to attack him and remove the evidence before they attempt to help Rollins put Cena through a table.

Their efforts are to no avail however, as Cena stacks both Noble and Mercury on his shoulder and hits a double Attitude Adjustment that sends them both through the table. When the fight returns to being between Cena and Rollins however, both crash through tables set up on the outside in full view of the referee, prompting the referee to call for the bell.

Replays show that both men went through at the same time however, with discussions between other referees revealing a split decision, prompting the referee to restart the match. The Big Show makes his way to the ring to interrupt, but Roman Reigns’ music hits and he makes his way to the ring to even the odds.

Reigns spears Show through a table and hits Rollins with a Superman punch, which Cena follows up by hitting Rollins with an Attitude Adjustment that sends Rollins through a table once more, this time in full view of the referee.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, Royal Rumble on 25th January, a video recapping the Kickoff (Pre-Show) match between The New Day and the team of Goldust and Stardust, checking in with the TLC Panel (comprised of Renee Young, Alex Riley and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T), Byron Saxton interviewing Nikki Bella about her upcoming match with AJ Lee.

After a video recapping the match between Nikki Bella and AJ Lee at Survivor Series, Nikki Bella (accompanied by Brie Bella) is pitted against AJ Lee for the Divas Championship in a match which sees Nikki get the victory and retain her title, when she takes advantage of the referee being distracted sending Brie away from ringside, as she sprays a liquid in AJ’s face before hitting her with a forearm shot and follows it up with the Rack Attack for the 3-count.

After an interview with Roman Reigns in which he states that he will be in the 2015 Royal Rumble match, Kane goes against Ryback in a Chairs match which sees Ryback get the victory, when he hits Kane with the Shell-Shock for the 3-count.

After a video hyping “WWE Week”, including “Super SmackDown Live”, Rusev (accompanied by Lana) takes on Jack Swagger in a match which sees Rusev get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Swagger with a kick to the head and applies The Accolade to Swagger, giving Swagger no other option but to tap out.

After a video hyping the match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar to take place at the Royal Rumble for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Dean Ambrose is pitted against Bray Wyatt in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match.

The match sees Wyatt get the victory, when the TV that Ambrose is getting ready to hit Wyatt with blows up in his face instead, and a blinded Ambrose stumbles into Bray Wyatt, who hits him with Sister Abigail for the 3-count.

Wyatt leaves while Ambrose is tended to in the ring, as the PPV goes off the air.
