PPV Fusion: Money In The Bank 2015

by Firefly on 15th June 2015

The 2015 WWE Money In The Bank Pay-Per-View starts with a ten-bell salute in memory of the late “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes as WWE employees and Superstars stand at the entranceway.

After a video hyping the matches to take place during the PPV, Randy Orton, Neville, Kane, Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by Lana), Kofi Kingston, Sheamus and Roman Reigns take each other in a Money In The Bank Ladder match, which sees Bray Wyatt appear when it looks like Reigns is about to win, as he pushes over the ladder and follows it up when he hits Reigns with Sister Abigail.

Sheamus reaps the benefit despite Neville’s attempts to foil him, as he unhooks the briefcase to get the victory and become Mr. Money In The Bank.

After Renee Young interviews Paige backstage about her upcoming match, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Nikki Bella is pitted against Paige in a Divas Championship match which sees Nikki retain her title thanks to underhanded means when a “Twin Magic” attempt sees the substituting Brie’s pin attempt reversed into a pin by Paige.

Once Brie unstuffs her bra to point out to the referee that she’s not Nikki, the referee rules that the match will continue, which allows Nikki to take advantage of the confusion when she hits Paige with a forearm that she follows up with the Rack Attack for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, The Miz joins commentary as Ryback goes against The Big Show for the Intercontinental Championship. The match sees The Big Show get the victory but Ryback retain his title as a result of a disqualification, when The Miz attacks Show in full view of the referee, with a shot afterwards to Ryback too.

After hyping that MGK as a guest star on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Kevin Owens takes on John Cena in a non-title Champion vs. Champion (NXT Champion vs. United States Champion) rematch which sees Cena get the victory to even up the score, when he hits Owens with an Attitude Adjustment for the 3-count.

Afterwards, Cena shows respect as he puts out his hand for Owens to shake, which Owens does indeed do so, and follows it up by raising Owens’ arm only to suddenly be attacked with a kick from Owens that knocks him out of the ring, which Owens follows up when he hits Cena with a powerbomb onto the ring apron.

Owens celebrates with laughter and holding both the NXT Championship and United States Championship belt aloft, before throwing the latter towards the prone Cena, as he backs away towards the entrance, with a hurt Cena exiting afterwards with the assistance of referees.

After Renee Young interviews Dean Ambrose about his upcoming match, a video package dedicated to the memory of Dusty Rhodes, and the announcement that “Dusty Rhodes: Celebrating The Dream” will air on WWE Network following the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, “The New Day” Xavier Woods and Big E are pitted against “Prime Time Players” Darren Young and Titus O’Neil in a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The match sees O’Neil get the victory for his team to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions, when he hits Woods with a spinebuster for the 3-count.

After checking in with the Money In The Bank Panel (comprised of Renee Young, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton), a video recaps the events earlier in the night involving Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt, and it is announced that Reigns will face Wyatt at the next WWE Pay-Per-View, Battleground on 19th July.

After an interaction backstage involving Seth Rollins, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Dean Ambrose goes against Seth Rollins in a Ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The match sees both men with a grip on the title when it is unhooked and they start to fall from the ladder, but once hitting the canvas at the bottom of the ladder, Rollins is the only one still holding on to it as he is declared the winner to retain his title.

Afterwards, Rollins celebrates at the entranceway with Triple H, as Money In The Bank goes off the air.
