The 2015 WWE Battleground Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place later on in the night, followed by a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, and Sheamus taking on Randy Orton (in Orton’s hometown) in a match to kick things off.

The match sees Orton get the victory, when he hits Sheamus with an RKO for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events of Raw involving Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Paige, The Bella Twins, Tamina Snuka and Naomi, JoJo interviews Stephanie McMahon about it and Stephanie also announces a Triple Threat match for later on in the night.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, “The New Day” Big E and Kofi Kingston (accompanied by Xavier Woods) are pitted against “Prime Time Players” Titus O’Neil and Darren Young for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The match sees O’Neil get the victory to retain the titles for his team, when he hits Big E with the Clash of the Titus (sitout-spinebuster) for the 3-count.

After an interaction backstage involving Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Bray Wyatt goes against Roman Reigns in a match which sees Wyatt take advantage of a hooded figure’s attack on Reigns out of view of the referee, when he follows it up when he rolls Reigns back into the ring and hits him with Sister Abigail for the 3-count. Afterwards, the hooded figure is revealed to be former (and perhaps once again) Wyatt Family member Luke Harper.

After JoJo interviews Naomi, Tamina and Sasha Banks about the upcoming Triple Threat match, Sasha Banks (accompanied by Tamina and Naomi), Charlotte (accompanied by Becky Lynch and Paige) and Brie Bella (accompanied by Nikki Bella and Alicia Fox) face each other in a Triple Threat match.

The match sees Charlotte get the victory, when she applies the Figure-Eight (Figure-Four Leglock with a bridge) to Brie and leaves her with no other option but to tap out.

After a video recapping King Barrett’s win in his match against R-Truth on the Kickoff (Pre-Show), and the events that led to the upcoming match, Kevin Owens takes on John Cena for the United States Championship in a match which sees Cena get the victory, when he applies the STF to Owens and leaves him with no other option but to tap out.

A segment recaps Ryback’s injury and inability to defend the Intercontinental Championship at Battleground as originally planned, and it also sees The Miz complain and attempt to petition to be awarded the title instead, only to be interrupted by The Big Show walking out, hitting him with a K.O Punch, and then leaving again.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Seth Rollins is pitted against Brock Lesnar (accompanied by Paul Heyman) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a match which ends in an apparent No Contest, when The Undertaker’s bell tolls as the arena plunges into darkness, then gets lit up again with Rollins and the referee nowhere in sight, but The Undertaker standing in the ring across from Lesnar.

The Undertaker attacks a shocked Lesnar with a low blow, chokeslam, and two tombstone piledrivers before making his kneeling pose, leaving while his theme plays as Battleground goes off the air.
