Daniel Bryan Announces Retirement

Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) has announced on Twitter that effective immediately, he is retiring from in-ring competition due to medical reasons, and that more details will be elaborated upon on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Along with the array of people including (but not limited to) his many fans and fellow wrestlers tweeting their support and thanks to Bryan under the hashtag #ThankYouDanielBryan (which is trending worldwide at time of writing), Ring of Honor also sent out a tweet thanking him for his contributions.

Former ECW and WWE commentator and current WWE.com staffer Joey Styles also sent out a tweet saying that it will be years before history realises how much Bryan changed the criteria for WWE recruiting talent.
