Yesterday, Cody Rhodes (also known as Stardust) tweeted (1, 2) that he had asked WWE for his release.

In the past hour, WWE have announced his release on WWE.com.

Recent release Stu Bennett (formerly known as Wade Barrett) tweeted his support for Rhodes, stating that many of his favourite times in WWE were with Cody Rhodes, and that it takes balls to walk away.

Wishing all the best to Cody Rhodes, and I (as well as many other fans too I’m sure) thank him for entertaining us.
