WWE Suspends Roman Reigns

by Firefly on 21st June 2016

WWE have announced on WWE.com that they have suspended Roman Reigns for violating the WWE Wellness Policy, with it taking effect immediately and lasting for thirty days as a result of being his first violation.

Roman Reigns has tweeted an apology to family, friends and fans, saying that he has no excuses.

Last night on Monday Night Raw, a Triple Threat match was made for Battleground between Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, however in theory this suspension does not affect that match as Battleground is taking place on 24th July and thus is after the thirty day period has ended.

Roman Reigns’ suspension will mean that he still misses the WWE Draft on the 19th July episode of SmackDown (which also marks SmackDown being broadcast live on Tuesdays from then onwards).
