WWE Suspends Paige

by Firefly on 17th August 2016

WWE have announced on WWE.com that they have suspended Paige for violating the WWE Wellness Policy, with it taking effect tomorrow (18th August) and lasting for thirty days as a result of being her first violation.

It is also notable that it is the first time (as far as I am aware) that a female wrestler has violated the WWE Wellness Policy.

Update (17th September): A few days ago, Paige addressed the suspension on Twitter, stating that it was for procedural reasons (which Eva Marie also stated as the reason for hers) rather than failing a drug test. She also thanks the fans for their support and says that rumours that she is leaving the WWE (following in the footsteps of Alberto Del Rio’s departure) are false and she looks forward to a healthy return to action when her injury is treated.
