PPV Fusion: TLC 2016
The 2016 WWE TLC Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place during the night, followed by “The Wyatt Family” Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton (accompanied by fellow member Luke Harper) taking on Heath Slater and Rhyno for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
The match sees Orton get the victory for his team, when he hits Rhyno with an RKO for the 3-count and The Wyatt Family become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
After a video promoting the WWE Network, an interview backstage involving Dean Ambrose, and an interview backstage involving AJ Styles, Nikki Bella is pitted against Carmella in a No Disqualification match which sees Nikki get the victory when she hits Carmella with the Rack Attack 2.0 for the 3-count.
Afterwards, Carmella grabs a microphone as Nikki Bella is leaving and states that if Nikki thought she was getting even for being attacked at Survivor Series, she’s wrong because Carmella wasn’t the one to do it. However she says that she knows who did – Natalya.
After a video recapping some of the history involving the Intercontinental Championship, and the events that led to the upcoming match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, and an interview backstage involving Daniel Bryan and then The Miz, Dolph Ziggler goes against The Miz (accompanied by Maryse) in a Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship.
The match sees The Miz get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Dolph Ziggler with two low blows atop the ladder and pushes him off the ladders before ascending to the top and retrieving the title.
Afterwards, The Miz dedicates his win to SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan, whom The Miz said gave him the motivation to do become the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever due to talking about how he didn’t like The Miz and giving Dolph Ziggler numerous chances against him for the title.
After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Kalisto takes on Baron Corbin in a Chairs match which sees Corbin get the victory, when he hits Kalisto with the End of Days onto a pile of chairs for the 3-count.
After an interview backstage involving Natalya denying Carmella’s earlier statement of her being the one to attack Nikki Bella at Survivor Series, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Alexa Bliss is pitted against Becky Lynch in a Tables match which sees Alexa Bliss get the victory, when she powerbombs Becky Lynch through a table to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Dean Ambrose goes against AJ Styles in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the WWE World Championship. The match sees Styles get the victory and retain his title, when James Ellsworth pushes Ambrose’s ladder over to send him through a table on the outside, which then allows Styles to set up the ladder again and climb to the top and retrieve the title.
Styles celebrates on top of the ladder, as TLC goes off the air.
