The 2017 WWE Money In The Bank Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place during the night, and a video hyping the upcoming match, followed by Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Carmella (accompanied by James Ellsworth) and Natalya face each other in a (first ever Women’s) Money In The Bank Ladder match.

The match sees Ellsworth climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase, dropping it for Carmella to catch, to make her Miss Money In The Bank. Afterwards, Ellsworth interrupts the arguing referees and grabs the microphone from the announcer to announce himself that Carmella has won, with them both celebrating as they leave up the ramp.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, the Raw-exclusive Great Balls of Fire on 9th July, and a backstage interview with Lana about her upcoming match with Naomi, “The New Day” Big E and Kofi Kingston (accompanied by third member, Xavier Woods) take on “The Usos” Jimmy and Jey in a match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Naomi is pitted against Lana in a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which sees Naomi get the victory and retain her title, when she applies a submission and leaves Lana with no other option but to tap out.

Also notable however is the interruption during the match by Carmella (accompanied by James Ellsworth and a referee) appearing to be about to cash in her Money In The Bank contract, however she decided against it and also decided not to do so after the match either, sending a message in the process that she’s got her eye on Naomi.

After a video promoting he WWE Network and the content available on it, and a “Fashion Vice” video involving “Breezango” Tyler Breeze and Fandango, followed by a segment with the surprise on-screen WWE début of Mike Kanellis (previously known as Mike Bennett) and his wife, the returning Maria Kanellis.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, and introductions of Legends watching in the front row at ringside, Jinder Mahal (accompanied by The Singh Brothers) goes against Randy Orton in a match for the WWE Championship.

The match sees Mahal get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Orton with the Khallas for the 3-count.

After a repeat of the video hyping the Great Balls of Fire Pay-Per-View, “Breezango” Tyler Breeze and Fandango take on a mystery team who are quickly revealed to be “The Ascension” Konnor and Viktor in a tag team match, which sees Fandango get the victory for his team, when he counters a move into a small package for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura and Baron Corbin in a Money In The Bank Ladder match, which sees Corbin attack Nakamura during his entrance, and Corbin get the victory, when he pushes the ladder with Styles and Nakamura atop it over, and after he sets it back up, climbs it to retrieve the briefcase to become Mr. Money In The Bank.
