PPV Fusion: Clash of Champions 2017

The 2017 WWE Clash of Champions Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place during the night, followed by a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match and Bobby Roode, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin facing each other in a Triple Threat match for the United States Championship to kick things off.

The match sees Ziggler get the victory, when Corbin hits Roode with an End of Days and Ziggler hits Corbin with a Zig-Zag at the same time for the 3-count, to become the new United States Champion.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, the dual-branded Royal Rumble on 28th January, a backstage interaction involving Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, and a backstage interview with Baron Corbin about the match he just lost, the team of Aiden English and Rusev, the team of Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, “The New Day” Big E and Kofi Kingston (accompanied by Xavier Woods) and “The Usos” Jimmy and Jey take each other on in a Fatal 4-Way match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

The match sees Jey Uso get the victory for his team to retain the titles, when Jimmy hits Gable with a superkick and Jey follows it up with a diving splash for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Natalya is pitted against Charlotte Flair in a Lumberjack match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which sees Charlotte get the victory and retain her title, when she applies the Figure-Eight Leg Lock and leaves Natalya with no other option but to tap out.

After an in-ring interview with Natalya about her loss, a video promoting the WWE Mayhem mobile game, a video hyping the content available on the WWE Network, a backstage interview with The Singh Brothers, and the announcers hyping “Talking Smack” following immediately after Clash of Champions on the WWE Network, “Breezango” Tyler Breeze and Fandango go against “Bludgeon Brothers” Harper and Rowan in a tag team match which sees Rowan get the victory for his team, when he and Harper hit Fandango with a double crucifix powerbomb for the 3-count.

After a video hyping the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, a backstage interview with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a match that not only has both Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan as Special Guest Referees, but also has the added stipulation that if Owens and Zayn lose, they are fired.

The match sees Zayn get the victory for his team, when he rolls up Orton and Bryan does a very fast 3-count.

After a video hyping WWE Mixed Match Challenge, which is set to air exclusively and live on Facebook Watch from 16th January, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Jinder Mahal (accompanied by The Singh Brothers) is pitted against AJ Styles in a match for the WWE Championship.

The match sees Styles get the victory and retain his title, when he applies the Calf Crusher and leaves Mahal with no other option but to tap out.
