PPV Fusion: Backlash 2018

The 2018 WWE Backlash Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place during the night, followed by The Miz taking on Seth Rollins in a match for the Intercontinental Championship to kick things off.

The match sees Rollins get the victory and retain his title, when he hits The Miz with a Curb stomp for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Alexa Bliss is pitted against Nia Jax in a match for the Raw Women’s Championship. The match sees Jax get the victory and retain her title, when she counters Bliss’ Twisted Bliss attempt by catching her and hits hits her with a Samoan drop for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the end of the Universal Championship cage match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at The Greatest Royal Rumble, a backstage interview with Samoa Joe about his upcoming match, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Randy Orton goes against Jeff Hardy in a match for the United States Championship.

The match sees Hardy get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Orton with a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb for the 3-count.

After a video starring Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn promoting WWE action figures, a video promoting a new season of the “Total Bellas” TV show, a segment sees people constantly interrupting Elias, with Bobby Roode being the last when he appears and hits Elias with a Glorious DDT.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Daniel Bryan takes on Big Cass in a match which sees Bryan get the victory, when he applies the Yes Lock to Cass and gives him no other option but to quickly tap out.

Afterwards, Cass attacks Bryan from behind, standing tall over a downed Bryan after hitting him with a big boot.

After a video promoting new episodes of Camp WWE, with the first being available following Backlash, the announcers hyping the Backlash Post-Show airing immediately after Backlash on WWE Network, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Charlotte Flair is pitted against Carmella in a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

The match sees Carmella get the victory and retain her title, when she kicks Flair in the knee – to take advantage of the injury that seems to have occurred moments earlier when Flair landed from a moonsault attempt – and covers her in a way that takes advantage of the knee injury for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Shinsuke Nakamura goes against AJ Styles in a match for the WWE Championship which sees it end in a draw and Styles retain his title, when both men kick each other with a low blow and neither are able to answer the ten count in the ring.

After photos recapping the 50-Man Royal Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley take on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a match which sees Lashley get the victory for his team, when he hits Owens with a delayed vertical suplex for the 3-count, although there is confusion from the announcers as to whether Owens was the legal man.

Afterwards, Strowman hits Owens with a powerslam and then hits Zayn with one too after quickly chasing him down and throwing him back into the ring.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, Money in the Bank on 17th June, and a video recapping the events that led to the upcoming match, Samoa Joe is pitted against Roman Reigns in a match which sees Reigns get the victory, when he hits Joe with a spear for the 3-count.
