NXT Fusion: Diss The Divas

by Firefly on 29th September 2010

The 28th September 2010 episode of NXT starts before the titles roll with a video recapping last weeks challenges, and after the titles roll we find out that Michael Cole is joining Josh Mathews again this week instead of CM Punk.

After Matt Striker introduces the Rookie Divas, he tells us that it’s time for the first challenge which is a Wheelbarrow Challenge where the objective is to push the wheelbarrow around the ring and cross the line in the fastest time, but as an empty wheelbarrow will not be much of a challenge, it has to take place with Hornswoggle as the cargo – if Hornswoggle falls out then it’s an automatic disqualification.

Maxine goes first and gets a time of 14.7 seconds, Naomi does it in 15.2, Jamie in 14.4, Kaitlyn in 12, A.J in 17.7, and Aksana in 13.9, meaning Kaitlyn as the winner. After this, we have a This Week In WWE History video recapping the events of Raw on the 22nd September 2007 including the Stone Cold Stunner to Vince McMahon.

After a video about and hyping A.J, we see a Raw Rebound video showing the match and aftermath involving Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Sheamus (click here for our Raw report). Cole and Mathews let us know that NXT moves to WWE.com next week which is when the first elimination will take place.

After a video about and hyping Kaitlyn, we have a video from last week’s SmackDown! showing the events involving Kane and The Undertaker (click here for our SmackDown! Report).

Time for the second challenge of the night called “Diss The Divas”, with Aksana going first. She says that “all the Rookies wanna be just like Aksana”, A.J’s turn has her saying that she’s going to redefine Diva, and Kaitlyn’s has her doing an impression of Naomi that gets her pushed to the floor by Naomi.

Jamie’s turn and she says that she knows that she is the best one there and that she will be the next WWE Diva, Naomi’s has her saying that when it’s about wrestling and entertainment, she has everyone beat, and tells Kaitlyn to say something to her face if she wants to say something about her.

Maxine is the last to go and talks about being sick and tired of the current Divas and how she deserves to be on top as A.J and Kaitlyn do things like dance The Robot in the background. After Striker checks with the crowd, A.J is revealed to be the winner.

An “Excuse Me” from Vickie Guerrero followed by her entering the ring stops A.J from doing much celebrating, with Vickie confronting Kaitlyn and saying that she keeps trying to make her step it up but she won’t, which gets rebuffed by Kaitlyn saying that she has tried her hardest but Vickie keeps bringing her down, with her then challenging Vickie to a match.

Vickie accepts and says that it will take place next week and that she will prove that she is the Pro and Kaitlyn is nothing, slapping her and causing them to fight until Striker is able to break it up. After a video recapping the past few minutes between Vickie and Kaitlyn, we see Vickie and Kaitlyn staring each other down as NXT goes off the air.
