Goodbye SmackDown! vs. Raw – “WWE ’12” Announced
It’s the end of the road for the WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw series as it will have no more additions. Instead, THQ have revealed that the next WWE game will be called WWE ’12.
According to IGN, various issues that have cropped up throughout the series will be addressed, and there are other notable differences such as characters not warping to the middle of the ring to do the five-knuckle shuffle or similar moves (instead doing it at the current location), fonts and menus are replaced with a new setup, and there is no more grappling with the analog stick.
Time will tell whether the game will live up to the excitement that the changes look to generate once it is released later in the year for the XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, and PS3 (22nd November for the US, 25th November for the UK), but for now you can check out the début trailer below and check out screenshots at wwe.thq.com.
