WAW Severs Ties With EVE, New Pro Wrestling: EVE Champion Crowned

by Firefly on 6th June 2011

According to a statement issued to Diva Dirt and Ringbelles by Pro Wrestling: EVE, World Association of Wrestling (WAW) has withdrawn from Pro Wrestling: EVE and as a result the WAW Gym is no longer a part of EVE – though EVE did thank WAW for their previous involvement.

I’d rather not speculate as to why this may be, but it’s a shame that this has happened as in such a situation there are no winners. Instead, the fans, workers, and promotions themselves to an extent all lose out.

One positive note to come out of this past weekend however is that a new Pro Wrestling: EVE Champion has been crowned as Jenny Sjödin defeated former champion Britani Knight to capture the title at XWA Wrestling’s “War On The Shore VII”.

Update (June 8th 2011): Ringbelles has more information on this in their latest Ringbelles Roundup. It is good news that there seems to be no obstacles to the wrestlers working where they choose, and though as mentioned above it is a shame that it happened, we also understand that things happen and we too have the stance of not siding with anyone.
