SD Fusion: Big Show Of Payback

by Firefly on 13th October 2011

The 7th October 2011 episode of Friday Night SmackDown! starts with a video recapping the interference by R-Truth and The Miz at Hell In A Cell (click here for our Hell In A Cell report) and the walkout on Monday Night Raw (click here for our Raw report), followed by Teddy Long confirming to Zack Ryder that Triple H isn’t going to risk a walkout on SmackDown! too, so is leaving the show in Long’s hands.

After various Superstars including Christian, Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, and Vickie Guerrero talk about why they walked out on Raw, Long makes his way out onto the stage and suggests Christian and Cody Rhodes get ready for their tag team match later on against Sheamus and Randy Orton, and Alberto Del Rio to face Sin Cara next.

Alberto Del Rio takes on the Sin Cara in a match which sees Del Rio get the victory when he forces Cara to tap out to the cross-armbreaker. Afterwards, the black-attired Sin Cara makes his way to the ring and attacks the blue-attired Sin Cara, ending it with a senton bomb and taunts.

After Matt Striker interviews Air Boom (Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne) who say that they will not appear on SmackDown! until Triple H steps down, Air Boom (sporting new tag team music) are pitted against Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger in a tag team match which sees Swagger get the victory for his team by hitting Bourne with a gutwrench powerbomb.

After a video recapping the tag team match on Raw between the team of Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres and the team of Beth Phoenix and Natalya, Beth Phoenix goes against Alicia Fox in a match which sees Beth get the victory when she hits Alicia with the Glam Slam for the 3-count.

After a video recapping Mark Henry’s attack on The Big Show four months ago, The Big Show makes his way to the ring and talks about how he the attack affected him and how it is good to be back, before he addresses Mark Henry and demands a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Show does not have to wait for long for Henry to make his way out onto the stage to answer him, but Henry denies his request, saying that he’s done nothing to deserve it, but he’ll let him know when and if he’ll ever get a title shot.

The Big Show’s response is to tell him that if he doesn’t get the answer he wants by the end of the night, he is going to put Mark Henry through the table and break his ankle with a steel chair.

After Striker interviews Randy Orton about why he was not one of those out there on Raw who walked out on Triple H, getting the response that he doesn’t play with others, and if he has a problem with Triple H, he will take it up with him personally.

After a video hyping Brodus Clay, Ezekiel Jackson takes on Jinder Mahal in a match which sees Jackson get the victory when he forces Mahal to tap out to the torture rack.

After we see John Laurinaitis warning Teddy Long not to lose control of SmackDown! like Triple H did with Raw, Hornswoggle makes an appearance at ringside and drags Booker T to the ring, in which they both do the Spinaroonie.

Next up, Christian and Cody Rhodes are pitted against Randy Orton and Sheamus in a tag team match which sees Orton get the victory for his team when he hits Rhodes with an RKO for the 3-count.

After another video recapping the the events at Hell In A Cell and the walkout on Monday Night Raw, Mark Henry makes his way to the ring to answer The Big Show’s ultimatum. His answer is a no, and this causes The Big Show to hit the ring and start to attack him, until he is pulled away by security.

This doesn’t deter Show however, as he takes out the security to get through to Henry again. Though Henry gets the upper hand for a moment and seems to get ready to put Show through the announce table, Show regains the upper hand and puts Henry through it instead.

Show then grabs a steel chair that he places around the ankle of Henry, and moves the nearby ring steps to where he can climb up them and have the perfect position to jump off them onto the steel chair, doing to Henry what he did to him a few months ago.

The Big Show is interrupted from doing so however by Teddy Long, who tells him that he has the World Heavyweight Championship match against Mark Henry – but it is only if he doesn’t do what he was getting ready to do.

Show slowly backs down, apparently agreeing to the terms, before turning around and deciding to send a message. Show grabs the steel chair and hits Henry with it, afterwards telling him that he will finish it after he beats him for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Big Show looks on from the ramp at the destruction he has wrought upon Henry, as SmackDown! goes off the air.
