Pro Wrestling: EVE vs Ice Ribbon Results, SWE Salvation Results

by on 13th October 2011

After attending the the Pro Wrestling: EVE vs. Ice Ribbon weekend in Nottingham, UK, all I can say is “wow”. The action was phenomenal, and though I knew that it was bound to be from seeing the DVDs, it just does not compare to seeing it live.

The match of the first night was undoubtedly the Jenny Sjödin vs. April Davids match for the Pro Wrestling: EVE Championship, which saw Sjödin retain the title by making Davids tap out to the cross-armbreaker. It received a well-deserved standing ovation, though we learned the next day that Davids had unfortunately suffered an injury during the Superplex – though she still wrestled the nineteen minutes afterwards, which shows just how much dedication these women have to the fans.

Though the injury was a suspected broken ankle, thankfully that wasn’t the case and it is just sprained, though Davids said in an interview with Ringbelles that she has been advised to heal for a month – though she said knowing herself, she’ll be back to training after two weeks.

My personal favourite match of the second night would have to be the 3-way match between Tsukasa Fujimoto, Kay Lee Ray, and Erin Angel, which saw Fujimoto get the victory when she hit Angel with a kick to the face for the 3-count.

All of the matches over the weekend were enjoyable ones however, not only in the EVE vs. Ice Ribbon shows, but also in SWE‘s Salvation show, with my personal favourite of the Salvation show being the match between Mad Man Manson and Dave Mastiff as I found Manson hilarious from the start. The Ice Ribbon Tag Team match in the SWE show served as a teaser to the action to come later on and the next day at EVE vs. Ice Ribbon. It clearly showed that the EVE vs. Ice Ribbon events were going to be special and hopefully convinced those attending Salvation that hadn’t already bought tickets, to buy tickets to attend those ones too.

Also worth a mention are Viper and Kirsty Love who wrestled in an EVE Potentials match on night one, and were both promoted to the full roster on night two.

The results of the matches were as follows:

Overall, it was an amazing weekend and I would strongly suggest that anyone who didn’t attend make sure to buy the DVDs when they are released (as I’m sure those who did attend will be doing so anyway) and see what they missed out on.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already got them then I highly encourage you to pick up Pro Wrestling: EVE‘s previous DVDs from evewrestling.com, and to also be sure to check out Ice Ribbon‘s weekly 19pro show at 19pro.ne07.jp.
