by Firefly on 19th December 2011

The 2011 WWE TLC Pay-Per-View starts with Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by Vickie Guerrero) taking on Zack Ryder for the United States Championship, in a match which sees Ryder get the victory to become the new United States Champion, when he hits Ziggler with the Rough Ryder for the 3-count.

After an interaction between Booker T and Alicia Fox backstage is interrupted when Booker is attacked by Cody Rhodes, Air Boom (Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston) are pitted against Primo and Epico (accompanied by Rosa Mendes) for the WWE Tag Team Championships, in a match which sees Kingston get the victory for his team and retain the titles, when he hits Primo with Trouble In Paradise for the 3-count.

After an update from Josh Mathews on Booker T’s condition after the earlier attack by Cody Rhodes, and an interaction between Teddy Long and Hornswoggle, Randy Orton goes against Wade Barrett in a tables match, which sees Randy Orton get the victory, when he rolls off the table and catches Barrett as he dives from the ropes and hits an RKO that puts Barrett through the table.

After an interaction between Teddy Long and The Bella Twins and a following interaction between Teddy Long, Jack Swagger, and Sheamus, that makes Long decide to make a match between Swagger and Sheamus for later on, Kelly Kelly takes on Beth Phoenix for the Divas Championship, in a match which sees Beth get the victory and retain her title, when she counters Kelly’s hurricanrana attempt into an Alley-Oop for the 3-count.

After an interaction between Alberto Del Rio, Ricardo Rodriguez, and The Miz, and a video hyping the Royal Rumble which is the next WWE Pay-Per-View, set to take place on the 29th January, Booker T is set to be pitted against Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship, but once again Booker is attacked by Rhodes, and has to be helped away.

After a video recapping the events between Triple H and Kevin Nash that lead to this upcoming match, Triple H goes against Kevin Nash in a Sledgehammer Ladder match, which allows the legal use of the sledgehammer for whoever climbs a ladder and retrieves it from its position suspended above the ring.

The match sees Triple H get the victory, when he retrieves the sledgehammer after swinging it to knock Nash off the ladder and through a table, and uses it to build upon the damage inflicted earlier in the match, before hitting Nash with a Pedigree, followed by a shot to the head, after which he pins Nash for the 3-count – afterwards, Nash has to be taken out on a stretcher.

After a video recapping the events on Monday Night Raw involving CM Punk, The Miz, and Alberto Del Rio (click here for our Raw report), Matt Striker interviews CM Punk about his thoughts of those events and his match later on, but Punk uses it to insult John Laurinaitis about accepting his Slammy Award on his behalf, until John Laurinaitis interrupts the interview.

When asked by Punk where his Slammy Award is, Laurinaitis informs him that he has mailed it to him, but due to the time of year, it may take a while to get to him. Laurinaitis suggests that Punk instead focus on his upcoming match, but Punk says that there is no chance of him losing the title.

Next up, Sheamus takes on Jack Swagger (accompanied by Vickie Guerrero) in a match which sees Sheamus get the victory, when he hits Swagger with the Brogue Kick for the 3-count.

After Josh Mathews interviews The Big Show about his upcoming match, The Big Show is pitted against Mark Henry in a Chairs match which sees The Big Show get the victory and become the new World Heavyweight Champion, when he hits Henry with the Weapon of Mass Destruction for the 3-count.

Afterwards, The Big Show celebrates – until Mark Henry hits him from behind with a steel chair, and then follows it up by hitting Show with a DDT onto a pile of steel chairs. A subsequent crowd chant of “Daniel Bryan” is answered, as Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he rushes to the ring with a referee and his Money In The Bank briefcase.

Bryan cashes in his Money In The Bank, and quickly pins The Big Show for the 3-count, becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion in the process. Afterwards, Bryan celebrates all around ringside, as The Big Show looks on before leaving.

After a video hyping the WWE Network, and a video recapping the earlier attacks on Booker T by Cody Rhodes, Josh Mathews interviews Booker T and tries to convince him that he doesn’t have anything to prove, but Booker says that he is in a whole lot of pain, but that he doesn’t want to go out like “some sucka”, but he says that Rhodes will be in more pain because although he didn’t ask for this fight, he is going to be the one to finish it.

Now, Cody Rhodes goes against Booker T for the Intercontinental Championship, in a match which sees Rhodes get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Booker with a springboard kick to the head for the 3-count.

Next, Alberto Del Rio takes on The Miz and CM Punk for the WWE Championship, in a Triple Threat TLC match which sees Punk get the victory and retain his title, when he pulls The Miz off the ladder and hits him with a GTS, before then climbing the ladder himself and retrieving the WWE Championship from its position suspended above the ring.

CM Punk celebrates atop a ladder in the middle of the ring, as WWE TLC goes off the air.
