by Firefly on 22nd December 2011

The 19th December 2011 episode of Monday Night Raw starts with a drum-roll and the voice of CM Punk revealing who won the WWE Championship match at the TLC Pay-Per-View (click here for our TLC report), followed by him making his way to the ring.

He talks about how he won before moving on to the United States Championship match, revealing who won that, followed by Zack Ryder making his way to the ring too. Lastly, the winner of the World Heavyweight Championship match, and the person who walked out of TLC as the World Heavyweight Championship is revealed, followed by Daniel Bryan making his way to the ring.

Punk points out that he and Bryan met down the street ten years ago and comments that who would have thought that they would both be in a WWE ring ten years later, and as the WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion.

He wants to hear from the two new champions, so he passes the microphone to Ryder who says that he couldn’t believe that he was the United States Champion, ans so had to call his father and ask him – Ryder says that his father replied “Woo Woo Woo, You Know It!”.

Bryan is passed the microphone, and he talks about how he got to where he is despite the fact that some people never expected him to even get to the WWE, but despite that he is there and is not just a champion, but is the World Heavyweight Champion.

Before he can say much more however, he is interrupted by The Miz who walks out silently, followed by Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio. All three men make their way to the ring and start to surround it before attempting to enter it, only to be knocked back down by the three men in the ring.

As the three outside the ring huddle and apparently try to make a plan, Zack Ryder decides to attempt to take them out by diving over the ropes, but they see it and he only manages to hit one of them, before the other two grab him and send him into the ring steps.

This is the cue for CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to exit the ring and start chasing Alberto Del Rio and The Miz up the ramp, but once they get there, the Vice President of Talent Relations and Interim General Manager of Raw John Laurinaitis comes out and tells Punk and Bryan to back up.

He says that he gave each of them an opportunity at TLC, and that while some were successful and others were not, being the creative General Manager that he is, he has decided that the main event of this episode of Raw will be the team of Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and The Miz taking on the team of Zack Ryder, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan in a six-man tag team match.

After the announcers recap Randy Orton’s table match against Wade Barrett at TLC with photos, Randy Orton is pitted against Wade Barrett in a match which sees Orton get the victory as a result of a disqualification, when Barrett uses a thumb to the eye in full view of the referee.

Afterwards, Barrett continues his attack on Orton, which culminates in him fetching a table from underneath the ring, setting it up inside the ring, and then putting Orton through the table with The Wasteland.

Next, Beth Phoenix goes against Alicia Fox in a match which sees Alicia get the victory, when she hits Beth with a reverse-DDT, followed by a flip-legdrop for the 3-count. Afterwards, Alicia says hi to the crowd and comments that she hopes that they have a “Foxy Holiday”.

After a video recapping the match between Sheamus and Jinder Mahal last week on SmackDown! (click here for our SmackDown! report), Sheamus takes on Jinder Mahal. Before the match takes place, Mahal says that it’s time that somebody put Sheamus in his place.

The match sees Sheamus get the victory, when he hits Mahal with the crucifix-powerbomb for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events of last week involving Kane and John Cena, and a video hyping the WWE Network, John Cena makes his way to the ring and talks about how there are some people that don’t like him, and that while some are there, and others aren’t.

He says that he can understand why Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson doesn’t like him, but what he doesn’t understand is why there is a Big Red Monster on the loose. Cena talks about Kane chokeslamming him last week, and says that he’d like to think that he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time – but he says that if he wasn’t, then he is there to face his fears.

Addressing Kane, he says that if last week was an accident, then he will let bygones be bygones and they will go their separate ways, but if it was no accident, then they have business – and that right now, they should handle that business.

Instead of Kane making his way out however, Mark Henry’s music hits and he makes his way out and talks about how the business that John Cena needs to be concerned about is that he had Cena laying in the middle of the ring last week, and that if it wasn’t for Kane, Cena would be the newest member of the Hall Of Pain.

As the crowd chant “Sexual Chocolate”, Henry says that he is out there to address his injuries and why he lost, because if he was Cena, he would get out of his face, because Henry is all the business that he needs to worry about.

A burst of fire from the entrance way marks Kane’s entrance once again, as he makes his way around the ring (sporting a new titantron, but the same music from last week), and facing Mark Henry, before turning his attention to John Cena as he then takes off his mask and enters the ring.

As soon as he does, John Cena starts to attack and sends Kane back over the ropes with a clothesline, only to be pulled out by his feet by Kane, and then sent hurtling over the announce table, followed by a few shots and a choke on top of the announce table, before leaving once again.

Next, Primo and Epico (accompanied by Rosa Mendes) are pitted against The Usos in a tag team match which sees Epico get the victory for his team, when he hits the backstabber for the 3-count.

After a video hyping the Royal Rumble in January, Josh Mathews interviews Cody Rhodes about his match against Booker T at TLC, which also sees Rhodes claim that he will be the winner of the 2012 Royal Rumble. Santino Marella appears with a Christmas present ahead of their match later on, and it is revealed to be Marella’s arm made to look like a cobra.

Back in the arena, Santino Marella goes against Cody Rhodes in a match which sees Rhodes counter Marella’s cobra attempt, and instead hit him with the Alabama slam for the 3-count.

After a video recapping Tribute To The Troops and an interaction involving The Bella Twins, John Laurinaitis, and David Otunga, there is an interaction between Laurinaitis and Vickie Guerrero, which sees her demanding that Dolph Ziggler get a rematch for the United States Championship – until she is interrupted by Hornswoggle with some mistletoe, who pulls her into an involuntary kiss, before then leaving her throwing a tantrum.

After a video recapping the celebration after Zack Ryder’s victory at TLC, and Josh Mathews interviews The Big Show about his short title reign at TLC, there is another video hyping the return of somebody on the 2nd January 2012.

Now, Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by Vickie Guerrero), The Miz, and Alberto Del Rio take on Zack Ryder, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan in a six-man tag team match which sees the three latter men make their entrances through the crowd, and which also sees Bryan get the victory for his team, when he counters Del Rio’s cross-armbreaker attempt into the LeBell Lock, forcing Del Rio to tap out.

Ryder, Punk, and Bryan celebrate in the ring and at ringside, as Raw goes off the air.
