PPV Fusion: No Way Out 2012
The 2012 WWE No Way Out Pay-Per-View starts with a video recapping the match from Monday Night Raw which determined a number one contender for the upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match, followed by Dolph Ziggler (accompanied by Vickie Guerrero) taking on Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship.
The match sees Sheamus get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Ziggler with the Brogue Kick for the 3-count.
After an interaction involving John Laurinaitis and Vince McMahon backstage and Laurinaitis being interviewed by Josh Mathews, and a video recapping the Mixed Tag Team match on Monday Night Raw involving Ricardo Rodriguez, Santino Marella, Beth Phoenix, and Layla, Santino Marella is pitted against Ricardo Rodriguez in a Tuxedo match.
The match sees Marella get the victory, when he strips Rodriguez down to his underwear, which is shown to have Alberto Del Rio’s face on the backside.
After Matt Striker interviews CM Punk about AJ and his upcoming match, which sees AJ appear, wishing him luck and kissing him on the cheek, Christian goes against Cody Rhodes for the Intercontinental Championship in a match which sees Christian get the victory and retain his title, when he hits Rhodes with a spear for the 3-count.
Next, Primo and Epico (accompanied by Rosa Mendes and AW), Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd, Darren Young and Titus O’Neil, and The Usos take on each other in a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team match to determine the number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The match sees Young get the victory for his team, when he hits Primo with knees to the gut while AW blocks Epico from interrupting the 3-count. Afterwards, Primo and Epico confront AW for betraying them, which results in Young and O’Neil attacking them and AW joining in with some kicks of his own.
After a video recapping Brock Lesnar’s attack on Triple H and Triple H’s interaction with Paul Heyman last month, Triple H makes his way to the ring and talks about how he is a fighter and an ass-kicker, and he challenges Brock Lesnar to a match with him at SummerSlam.
After an interaction backstage involving AJ and Daniel Bryan, where she wishes him luck in his match, Beth Phoenix is pitted against Layla for the Divas Championship in a match which sees Layla get the victory and retain her title, when she hits Beth with the Layout-neckbreaker for the 3-count.
After an interaction backstage involving AJ and Kane, where she wishes him luck in his match and kisses him, Hunico (accompanied by Camacho) goes against Sin Cara in a match which sees Cara get the victory, when he hits Hunico with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors into a single arm takedown for the 3-count.
After a video recapping the events involving Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, AJ, and Kane which led to the upcoming match, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Kane take on each other in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship.
The match sees Punk get the victory and retain his title, when he pushes Kane into the ropes, where Kane knocks AJ off the apron and distracts Kane, allowing Punk to hit Kane with the GTS for the 3-count.
Afterwards, Kane picks up AJ and walks to the back with her, but she is shown smiling over Kane’s shoulder, perhaps indicating that what happened to her to distract Kane was a part of her plan.
After a video hyping Monday Night Raw’s 1000th episode and move to three hours, Dan Delaney and Rob Grimes are pitted against Ryback in a match which sees Ryback get the victory, when he hits both men with a double muscle-buster for the 3-count.
After a video hyping the SummerSlam Pay-Per-View set to take place on 19th August, and a video recapping the events involving The Big Show, John Cena, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon which led to the upcoming match, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis watch on from ringside as The Big Show goes against John Cena in a Cage match.
The match sees Cena get the victory, when he escapes the cage by going over the top and dropping to the floor, helped by the fact that Brodus Clay is by the cage door with a steel chair to deter Show from escaping.
Afterwards, Cena picks Laurinaitis up and places him on his shoulders, where McMahon informs Laurinaitis that he is fired, and Cena then hits Laurinaitis with an Attitude Adjustment through the Spanish announcers’ table.
John Cena celebrates in the ring, as No Way Out goes off the air.
