WWE Championship
Triple H © vs Edge

Chris: With the initially proposed Triple H vs Cena feud reportedly going into Summerslam before the draft, I can see WWE wanting to drag this feud out a bit. Edge will likely bring his army and knowing Triple H’s history, he will single handedly destroy La Familia and retain.
Winner: Triple H

Woody: I am going to go with Triple H on this one. He hasn’t had the title that long and I can’t see WWE taking it off him so early. I am sure Edge will hold his own in this match and I am sure it won’t be the last time we see Edge Vs. Triple H for the title
Winner: Triple H

Will: While I think this one could be decent, I’m not impressed at the build for it. Aside from the first SmackDown! after the draft, and this weeks, there’s been practically zero interaction between Triple H & Edge. It’s all been about the wedding and hardly any focus has been put on the fact there’s a WWE title match happening too. I can’t help but feel this is merely a filler match leading to something bigger for Triple H at Summerslam, possibly a rubber match with Cena.
Winner: Triple H

Joe E. Legend: WWE seem to be moving in a “youth market” direction, so I’d say Edge will win. He SHOULD win by pinfall, but seeing that it’s Trips, I’m guessing a DQ of some kind.
Winner: Edge

Chris R: I see Triple H retaining in this one. Edge hasn’t been on a roll lately and it’d make zero sense to give him the belt just now once again.
Winner: Triple H

Billy: Edge has had luck in his corner for the past while thanks to La Familia, but I do see Triple H walking away with a victory here to retain the title one way or another. I don’t see Edge getting another run at the top just yet. Maybe in a while, but not in this match.
Winner: Triple H

Mitchell: The build suggests that Edge is winning. I say this because of a few reasons. For one, HHH had the upper hand on SmackDown, and that usually means that the other person will pull the win out. I also suspect that Edge and Vickie are going to swerve ol’ Tripper. Planted video, weeks of “turmoil”, and then a good old Russo-esque swerve, albeit one that many probably don’t see coming. I just can’t see HHH winning the belt yet, especially with no one to defend against just yet. I think Edge wins, and we may see the return of The Undertaker to top it all off.
Winner: Edge

World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk © vs Batista

Chris: I wonder where Batista got that cheat code for infinite title shots? He never seems to be out of the title picture, regardless of what show he is on. CM Punk has been booked like a bitch for the last 3 weeks. He has won a few matches but has been dominated in all of them. JBL kicked his ass before he got the rollup. Snitsky doesn’t count since he is a joke and nobody takes him seriously. This week, Kane dominated Punk before he got a count out win. He was then about to be destroyed before Batista made the save, then turned on Punk hitting him with a spinebuster. So, there are 2 trains of thought, Punk is made into even more of a bitch, or he actually wins a match against someone who is considered a legitimate contender. I go with the second.
Winner: CM Punk

Woody: Again, I don’t see WWE taking the title off CM Punk so early. He still has to prove he deserves the title and I think he is going to do it in this match with a clean win over “The Animal”.
Winner: CM Punk

Will: After the reports from the dark match at RAW this Monday, and also what took place on the televised show, all signs are pointing towards Punk’s title reign coming to an end, and I think it could be for the best. However, I’m not keen about seeing Batista as WHC again, but I don’t think it’d be for that long, possibly leading towards an Evolution feud between ’tista and a returning Randy Orton.
Winner: Batista

Joe E. Legend: I think they really need to push Punk to get him over so he needs to win. Batista just beat him up a week ago so another win wouldn’t accomplish anything. To be honest, I think this is a kind of “submarine” job on Punk. To me, it looks like they want to make Punk look lucky every time he wins instead of the guy who was good and talented enough to win. This will work in the short haul, but eventually people will start to reject him if he just “sneaks over” every time. He shouldn’t be booked like Goldberg, but he MUST look competent if he’s to be a big draw and the angle now isn’t leaning in that direction. And I believe Punk is better than that.
Winner: CM Punk

Chris R: Honestly, this is 623623653th title match in his career. I’m sick of seeing Batista in the main-event scene for so long now, Punk to retain please. He got just crowned the new champion, so I don’t see why Batista has to win in this one. It’d take all of Punk’s credibility away if they’re just taking the belt off him a few weeks after he won it.
Winner: CM Punk

Billy: Batista is on the warpath after CM Punk stole the World Title right from under his nose. I could see
Batista’s anger getting the best of him here if he can’t stay focused on defeating Punk.
Winner: CM Punk

Mitchell: I want to make one thing perfectly clear: I hate CM Punk. I do not like him, cannot stand him, hate him beyond all recognition. I would prefer the sport of professional wrestling were Punk not a part of it, and taking his sycophants with him would only add to my eternal pleasure. With that said, I think he’ll win tonight. Not because he deserves it, but because ratings are doing ok under him and they’ve got the chance to do some new stuff with him until at least Summerslam. I don’t think he’ll win cleanly at all, but I can’t see Big Dave taking the title yet.
Winner: CM Punk

ECW Championship
Mark Henry © vs Tommy Dreamer

Chris: Poor Tommy Dreamer. I mean seriously. He seems to get dragged out of storage whenever someone needs a squash win. Well, at least he is on pay per view.
Winner: Mark Henry

Woody: Tommy might get to swing a few chairs in this one but that is about, I am going win an easy win for big Mark Henry
Winner: Mark Henry

Will: While I think it’d be nice to see Dreamer be ECW Champion again, it seems it’s good to be black in WWE at the moment, so Henry is most likely walking out champion. Nothing against him as a person, but I just don’t think he’s championship material. Dreamer on the other hand is, and it’d be a nice nostalgia trip to see him wearing the ECW Championship again.
Winner: Mark Henry

Joe E. Legend: Mark Henry will win because they really want to push him as a steamroller and Dreamer has more power behind him as the “guy who ALMOST wins” than the “guy who does”. Besides, this is another way for WWE to remind ECW fans that the old ECW is dead.
Winner: Mark Henry

Chris R: I thought Tommy Dreamer wasn’t allowed to compete because Delaney lost? I’m confused. However, I see Mark Henry also retaining as Tommy Dreamer, even though being an ECW original, doesn’t look really credible in ECW at this point. I’d like to see him getting more wins over the next weeks and then it’s time for a title run in my opinion.
Winner: Mark Henry

Billy: I honestly don’t see Tommy Dreamer getting a run at the top with the ECW Title anytime soon. Mark Henry might not be the best wrestler in the world, but he’s big, strong and powerful and he can kick some ass when he wants to, especially now that he has a title to defend.
Winner: Mark Henry

Mitchell: No one gives a fuck about Tommy Dreamer anymore (questionable that they ever did) and Mark Henry is doing a really good job as champion. Ratings are up, he seems to be relishing the role, and it makes a change from Chavo Guerrero, John Morrison and the other worthless post-Invasion champions they’ve had.
Winner: Mark Henry

WWE Tag Team Championships
M&M © vs Finlay and Hornswoggle vs Jesse and Festus vs Ryder and Hawkins

Chris: M&M have had a lengthy run with the titles, but I’d say it’s time for them to go their separate ways. I’m torn on how WWE will book this match as they could go with Finlay and Hornswoggle, or Ryder and Hawkins although the latter would mean for the stable to be taken seriously, Edge would need to win as well. Maybe we will see Finlay and Hornswoggle pick up the win as transitional champions before they drop them at Summerslam.
Winners: Finlay and Hornswoggle

Woody: Could be a good match if they give these guys enough time. I think Miz & Morrison have done a great job as tag team champs, I know they don’t get much air time but they do well with what air time they get. As much as I like Finlay and can’t see him and Hornswoggle picking up the win (well I hope not anyway) Finlay should be working singles matches again. I think it’s way too early for Edges bitches, sorry Hawkins & Ryder to carry the straps, but I am glad they are in this match. Biscuits and gravy!!! Love that theme song, These guys have a good chance at picking up the titles and I think Festus is doing a great job, not seen much action from Jesse yet. I think it will be down to Jesse & Festus & Miz & Morrison with Miz and Morrison picking up a non clean win
Winners: Miz and Morrison

Will: This one is definitely the filler match. Miz/Morrison have had no real competition for months and I don’t see them going any further after tonight. They’d be much better use as singles competitors. As for the winners, Finlay and Mini-Finlay for the win in the feel-good-comedy moment of the night
Winners: The Finlays

Joe E. Legend: M&M will keep the titles here because it’s a nice way to have them capitalize on the confusion of too many people in the ring. When they do lose, it will be significant and EVERYONE will see the finish. There will be some confusion in the end and the instant replay in the “Titan-Tron” will sort that.
Winner: Miz and Morrison

Chris R: Honestly, I don’t see any of these teams being real competitors to M&M. I don’t see a title change happening here as well.
Winners: Miz and Morrison

Billy: Miz & Morrison have developed into an entertaining heel champion tag-team. The odds are not entirely in their favour given it’s a 4-team dance for the gold, but they will find some way to retain. Plus, the other three teams aren’t nearly as fun to watch.
Winners: Miz and Morrison

Mitchell: I’m going against the grain here. It makes sense for M&M to win as they’re great together, and a Finlay/Hornswoggle win would progress the feud to it’s natural conclusion, but I sense that this might be an excuse to move the titles back to SmackDown. I don’t think The Natural-wannabe Edgeheads will do it, which leaves Jesse and Festus. So there you go: Biscuits and Gravy for the win.
Winners: Jesse and Festus

WWE Divas Championship
Natalya vs Michelle McCool

Chris: WWE wins an award for the most hideous looking belt in the history of wrestling with the Divas Championship. Since it looks like your typical, girly girl piece of sparkly shit, Michelle McCool will win since WWE seems to see something in her that doesn’t appear to be there. Michelle beats the actual wrestler to win the belt.
Winner: Michelle McCool

Woody: If Michelle McCool wins this then it is just wrong, she should not even be in this match. I am going with Neidhart for the win and I hope she then gets to feud with someone good like Victoria. BTW, the Divas title sucks.
Winner: Natalya

Will: Firstly, why? I mean there’s hardly any competition on RAW for the womens title, so why do we have a second? Natalya seems the obvious choice in this one as she’s more of a ‘wrestler’, but McCool has improved in recent weeks. I’d much rather see a unified womens title, and have them all going after the one belt.
Winner: Natalya

Joe E. Legend: They are making it look so much like Neidhart is unstoppable that you’d expect McCool to pull out the upset. However, I think they’ll go with Nattie and it’s a good decision. She’s excellent to move things forward with the youth market while keeping a link to the past. She’s VERY pretty but also can work, so your “Diva’s title” will have a better chance of starting off strong with good matches. She’s a friend of mine and a quality human being, so she deserves all of the success in the world.
Winner: Natalya

Chris R: I hardly ever watch Smackdown!, but I always liked Michelle McCool, so I’m gonna go with her. Go McCool!
Winner: Michelle McCool

Billy: The Divas Championship is a brand new title belt introduced in the Smackdown Women’s Division, and this match will crown the first-ever champion. While Natalya clearly has the edge in talent and experience, McCool will prevail and have her hand raised in victory as the first champion.
Winner: Michelle McCool

Mitchell: Natayla. I hope to Christ that WWE agrees because I am sick of Stone Cold Michelle McCool acting like the second coming of Stan Hansen just because she’s fucking The Undertaker. Fuck her. Natalya to win.
Winner: Natalya

WWE United States Championship
Matt Hardy © vs Shelton Benjamin

Chris: With Matt being moved to ECW and Shelton going to SmackDown! you would think that would make a difference and WWE would want to get the title on SmackDown!, but since the draft, (to my knowledge) Matt has been on SmackDown! more than he has been on ECW. Personally, I don’t see them pushing Benjamin but as someone said, it’s a good time to be black in WWE with their African-American viewer drive they seem to be on.
Winner: Matt Hardy

Will: This one popped up from nowhere so I have a feeling we could see a title change. Matt’s drafting to ECW was seemingly pointless, as he’s been on SD! more than he has ECW, so ECW wouldn’t really be losing a title, as Shelton would no doubt appear on ECW too. It’d be a good move for Shelton too, he needs a push and winning US gold may just help him along, like his first IC win did.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Joe E. Legend: Matt should retain if they have ANY plans to make him the main guy in ECW. They’ve already jobbed him out once in a tag so they have to do something to keep a little steam on him. Until he makes noise about the ECW belt, expect him to keep the US. Besides, it doesn’t appear that the company has any immediate plans for Benjamin.
Winner: Matt Hardy

Billy:
I’m not too familiar with WWE feuds as I’m unable to watch Raw and Smackdown, but Matt Hardy has held the gold for a while now and it’s time to shake things up a bit with a new champion. Shelton is a talented wrestler and so is Hardy so this could be a very good match if both are on top of their game.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Mitchell: I really wanted to say that Matt Hardy was gonig to win, but my initial argument leaned heavily towards Benjamin. Hardy is bigger than that belt now, and Benjamin can take it back to SmackDown with him whilst Hardy challenges Mark Henry for the ECW title. Just a guess, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see such a direction, and I’m all for it.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin

New York City Parking Lot Brawl
John Cena vs JBL

Chris: John Cena is almost ran over on RAW but is only grazed? Well, the win here goes to superman. JBL hasn’t won an important match in months, and I don’t think he has ever beaten Cena in a one on one match, that trend continues here as Cena wins after 10 minutes of JBL destroying him.
Winner: John Cena

Woody: This could be good and I think both men have a 50/50 chance of winning, I know I have to pick one so I am going to go for….Cena. I have not seen a parking lot brawl match in a long time so I am looking forward to this.
Winner: John Cena

Will: I think this could be the match of the night. Not for any technical or wrestling skills, because we won’t see any – but this will be interesting to watch. They’ll be plenty of spots, and more than enough chance of injury to both men. With recent reports that JBL’s back is giving him problems again, perhaps we’ll see some kind of injury angle which will “force” JBL into another retirement. I do think this is another filler match though – I think they’ll somehow put Triple H and Cena together for their rubber match at Summerslam
Winner: John Cena

Joe E. Legend: John Cena should win this to FINALLY end this feud. Quite simply, no one is really interested in this program and the “attempted murder” this week put more people off than interested them. If the program is to continue past this week, JBL will win but I think everyone is in agreement that this should end ASAP.
Winner: John Cena

Chris R: I’d like to see Cena jobbing to JBL, but unfortunately it won’t happen. Supercena is gonna destroy JBL in this one, me thinks. The stipulation adds a nice touch to the match however.
Winner: John Cena

Billy: After what happened to close out Raw this past week, where John Cena narrowly escaped being totally crushed by a car driven by JBL, I can see Cena gain a measure of revenge in the parking lot brawl. There’s also the possibility that Cryme Tyme might get involved to some extent.
Winner: John Cena

Mitchell: I always like JBL/Cena matches, but it’s ran its course and Cena needs to win because JBL is past his use inside the ring. It should be a good match because the two tend to work well with smoke and mirrors, so I can see an FU onto or off a car, for the Cena victory.
Winner: John Cena

Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho

Chris: Ironically, the only match I am excited for is a rehash of a storyline we got leading into Wrestlemania XIX. I see Shawn Michaels winning when Lance Cade tries to interfere and Paul London comes to the rescue, but therein lies the SWERVE as London drinks the Y2J Kool-Aid. They will likely play it off London getting his ass kicked on RAW and no HBK sighting until after he was beaten down.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Woody: HBK is starting to get on my nerves now, I think he should just give it up once and for all, I see Jericho picking up the win with a little help from Cade.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Will: This has been one of the best features of RAW over recent weeks, and I genuinely have no idea what way they’re going with it. Jericho getting a win over HBK would be interesting, and would evolve the story nicely, but looking ahead I don’t see what else they can do with each other aside from giving them new angles.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Joe E. Legend: I have to give it to Jericho with Lance Cade’s help. If you’re trying to build up Cade, you CAN’T have his presence backfire so soon after the angle has begun. This will be the best match of the night, but it will be to build Cade more than to move the angle between these 2 forward.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Chris R: I’m looking forward to this match the most. Jericho looked a little weak when he lost his title to Kofi, I’d like to see him winning this one. It’s not that Shawn Michaels needs the victory anyway, I recall I didn’t see him losing a match since March or so, he just doesn’t need another win. Jericho to win please.
Winner: Chris Jericho

Billy: Jericho has been out to punish and humiliate HBK for a while now, ever since HBK admitted he lied to Jericho’s face. Y2J even put HBK on the shelf by smashing his face into the Highlight Reel set. It’s time for Michaels to return and exact some revenge on Jericho for all that has happened even though I’d much rather see Jericho victorious.
Winner: Shawn Michaels

Mitchell: This could absolutely go either way. A fantastic feud, probably the best in wrestling today, and I have no idea how it will end or carry on, but I expect that Paul London will be involved somehow. They seem to favour HBK victories with post-match shenanigans, but my gut suggests that Jericho will sneak a win via Liontamer (the Walls of Jericho, for younger fans who don’t get the reference).
Winner: Chris Jericho
