PPV Fusion: Extreme Rules 2013

The 2013 WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View starts with a video hyping the matches to take place on the PPV, and a video recapping the events involving Fandango and Chris Jericho that led to the upcoming match, followed by Chris Jericho taking on Fandango (accompanied by Summer Rae) to kick off Extreme Rules.

The match sees Jericho get the victory, when he counters Fandango’s dive from the top rope by catching him with a Codebreaker for the 3-count.

After Josh Mathews interviews Sheamus about his upcoming match against Mark Henry, and a video recapping the events involving Dean Ambrose and Kofi Kingston that led to the upcoming match, Kofi Kingston is pitted against Dean Ambrose in a match for the United States Championship.

The match sees Ambrose get the victory to become the new United States Champion, when he hits Kingston with a headlock driver for the 3-count. Afterwards, his fellow members of The Shield make their way to the ring to celebrate with him.

After a video recapping the events involving Mark Henry and Sheamus that led to the upcoming match, Sheamus goes against Mark Henry in a Strap match which sees Sheamus get the victory, when he hits Henry with a Brogue Kick before slapping the final turnbuckle to end the match.

After an interaction backstage involving AJ Lee and Kaitlyn, which erupts into a fight that they have to be separated from by referees, a video hyping the DVD and Blu-Ray release of WrestleMania 29, and a video recapping the kick that caused Dolph Ziggler’s concussion and the upcoming match to be changed, Jack Swagger (accompanied by Zeb Colter) takes on Alberto Del Rio in an “I Quit” match to determine the Number One Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship.

The match sees Swagger get the victory, when Zeb Colter pushes Ricardo Rodriguez out of the way and throws in Rodriguez’s white towel, prompting the referee to end the match as he believes that it is Rodriguez who threw it in as he was facing the other way.

After Rodriguez attempts to explain what really happened, another referee hits the ring and informs the referee in the ring of what happened, prompting the in-ring referee to ask to see a replay of what happened.

After seeing the footage of what really happened, he checks that Del Rio can continue the match and restarts it. The match sees Del Rio get the victory to become the Number One Contender, when he applies the cross-armbreaker to to Swagger, forcing him to say “I Quit”.

After Josh Mathews interviews Ryback about his upcoming match with John Cena, “Team Hell No” Kane and Daniel Bryan are pitted against “The Shield” Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins in a match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The match sees Reigns get the victory for him and Rollins to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions, when Rollins hits an elevated Bryan with a knee that knocks him from Reigns’ shoulders, and Reigns covers Bryan for the 3-count.

Afterwards, Dean Ambrose hits the ring to join their celebration like they did with him, as all three members of The Shield show off their titles.

After a video recapping the match between The Miz and Cody Rhodes on the Pre-Show, The Big Show is pitted against Randy Orton in an Extreme Rules match which sees Orton get the victory, when he hits Show with a punt to the head for the 3-count.

After a video recapping the events involving John Cena and Ryback that led to the upcoming match, Ryback goes against John Cena for the WWE Championship in a Last Man Standing match which sees an apparent No Contest decision, when Ryback drives himself and Cena through the light grid on the stage, and the referee calls for medical personnel along with other referees after seeing the results.

Afterwards, Ryback is helped away by referees, but Cena is taken away on a stretcher by the medical personnel.

After a video hyping the next WWE Pay-Per-View, Payback on 16th June, and a video recapping the events involving Brock Lesnar and Triple H that led to the upcoming match, Brock Lesnar (accompanied by Paul Heyman) takes on Triple H in a Steel Cage match.

Triple H doesn’t wait for his own entrance, but instead attacks Lesnar from behind during his at the bottom of the ramp. The match sees Lesnar get the victory, when he hits Triple H with a sledgehammer to the jaw, and follows it up with an F-5 for the 3-count.

Triple H is helped out of the ring and up the ramp by trainers, as Extreme Rules goes off the air.
